Business Development Manager (Logistics Sales)
About the job:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Sales Representative to join our team. As a Logistics Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within our logistics division. You will work closely with potential clients to understand their supply chain needs and offer tailored logistics solutions that optimize efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the logistics industry.

This position requires a self-starter who can: Generate his/her own leads; in a fast-paced environment.
Job responsibility:
  • Generate their own sales leads by;
  • Researching potential clients, such as furniture retailers, Big/Bulky e-tailers and businesses who would be a good fit for Logistics Solution in the Big and Bulky market.
  • Cold Calling/Meeting potential clients.
  • Working with company and personal network in the big and bulky industry.
  • Sell Logistics Services to potential clients by explaining our unique service and our pricing advantages in detail to ensure potential clients can see the benefits to their company.
  • Guide leads/company through sales process to ensure they understand our various products and services.
  • Obtain leads/company’s commitment and registration as Last Mile Delivery customer and Logistics customer and Warehouse customer.
  • Work with operations team to properly on-board new customers
  • Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact between clients and operation team until clients transfer status to House Account (6 months).
  • Assist new customers with placing orders and answering any questions on orders
  • Work with management to achieve company productivity and performance objectives.
  • Work with customer service team to develop business relationship with our client.
  • Discover opportunities to cross sell Giga Cloud’s other services (B2B Platform Buyer/Supplier, 3PL Service) and generate additional revenue.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of success in sales, particularly in the logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Experience in the Big and Bulky Logistics segment.
  • Experience in Final Mile Sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and solutions to clients.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and industry events as needed.
Job Type:
  • Full-time, Commission
  • Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base pay (depends on experience) + a very generous commission
